The rainy season is ideal for hiking if you’re interested in spotting mushrooms. There are plenty of varieties, as shown in my gallery.
My recent hiking trip to Phnom Tbeng at the Taing Yu community, was an unforgettable experience. Spanning three days and two nights, the journey was filled with the natural beauty and tranquility that only the rainy season can offer.
The lush, green landscape was a sight to behold, with the rain bringing out the vibrant colors of the forest. One of the highlights was visiting several stunning waterfalls. The sound of cascading water was both soothing and invigorating, and I couldn’t resist taking a dip in the refreshing rapids. Swimming in the natural pools was a perfect way to cool off after a long hike.
Another fascinating aspect of the trip was the abundance of mushrooms. The damp conditions were ideal for mushroom growth, and I spent hours photographing the diverse and colorful fungi. Each mushroom seemed to tell its own story, adding a magical touch to the forest floor.
